An Inquiry Approach to Collaboration

Together, we're going to grow a wiki like this one ...

Part the First

We'll create some problems together that we can later use in our classes. We'll use Google Docs to create the questions and diagrams, if any. We'll also discuss how we can use summative assessment for formative assessment. (How does "Assessment Of Learning" become "Assessment For Learning"?)

Part the Second

We'll copy the work we did together in the Google Doc to the wiki. Using Google Docs up to 50 people can collaborate in real time. On a wiki page, while any number of people can collaborate, only one person can edit each page at any given time. (Watch how we deal with this ...)

Part the Third

Now we'll play the role of students and scan through all the questions made by other people. Pick one. Solve it completely. Show all steps in the wiki and annotate your solution well enough for an interested learner to learn from you.

Part the Fourth

You'll know what this is when you get here. I'm not telling.

In any event, feel free to come back to our wiki later to grab stuff you can use in your classes.
